      <description>&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;i would say securities rather than stocks. But the difference should not affect the tax benefit of the contribution.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Securities other than stock. &amp;nbsp;Mutual funds are securities. &amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If the securities are &lt;A href="https://www.irs.gov/charities-non-profits/charitable-organizations/charitable-organizations-substantiating-noncash-contributions" target="_blank"&gt;publicly traded&lt;/A&gt;, then they do not need an appraisal.&lt;/P&gt;
