I'm trying to file and there is an issue with my Schedule E. It won't file until I add a rental income, but the property on the form is a royalty property with no income.

How can I bypass this glitch to file? I paid $177 to e-file, and now it isn't working. I'm feeling frustrated.

I think you mean you have a schedule E that has no income reported on it. If so and you don't need it for loss carryovers or other reasons, you can delete the Schedule E and that may resolve your issue as follows:

1. Choose the Tax Tools option on your left menu bar while working on your return

2. Choose Tools

3. Choose the Delete a form option under Other Helpful links

4. Find the Schedule E in the list and delete it

There is no Schedule E listed under my forms list.

In TurboTax Online, follow these steps:

Down the left side of the screen, click on Federal.
Down the left side of the screen, click on Wages & income.
Scroll down to Rentals, Royalties, and Farm. Click down arrow to the right.
Select Start / Revisit to the right of Rental Properties and Royalties.

Do you see the screen Your 2025 rentals and royalties summary?

If you do see the summary, how many activities are listed?

Are any of these activities not being used? If so, the activity may be deleted by clicking the trashcan icon to the far right of the screen.
