I paid an advance on my energy efficient windows install in 2024 but they got installed in 2025 Jan. Do I show them for credit in 2024 tax filing? Or show them in 2025 filing with amount paid in 2024 included?

According to the IRS instructions for claiming a Residential Energy Credit, the costs are treated as being paid when the original installation of the item is completed. So even though a portion was paid in 2024, since the installation occurred in 2025, you will claim the credit based on the full cost on your 2025 tax return.
