How do I edit "My investment sales summary"?

The information on the Investment Sales Summary is generated by the individual sales you have entered. Each line should have an Edit button to the right, which you can click to access and change the details for that transaction.

When I go to the update button it goes to a Summary of my investment sales with no option to edit. How do I edit an error in my original input?

When you click Update to reopen the Investments section and see the screen, "Your investment sales summary", TurboTax provides an Edit button next to the items you entered. If you click the Edit button next to an item, such as stock sales from a particular brokerage, the list of sales will appear. Click the pencil icon next to the item you need to change.

If you are using TurboTax Online, you may need to slide the bar at the bottom of the list of items to see the pencil icon on the right.

There will also be a button to "Add another sale" at the bottom of the list.

I get only the Summary but there are no Edit buttons. Never had this issue in prior years.

Please clarify which version of TurboTax you are using: Online or Desktop? If TurboTax Online, which browser do you usually use to log in? If TurboTax for Desktop, are you using Deluxe, Premier or Home and Business?

I have the same problem, I am unable to edit the Investment Sales Summary. I am using TurboTax Premier 2023 (for Mac). Is this bug? Is there any other way to edit. I see a few lines with zeros, which I would like to remove. as the rgagne1 pointed I have not experienced this in prior years of using TT.

@biffmanilow On the bottom of the Investment Summary window there should be a scroll bar. Scroll the bar to the right and then the Edit button and the Trash Can symbol will be available.

@DoninGA, Thank you! That did the trick. I wish that screen displayed properly! I completely missed that scroll bar though I could see the tiny left-end of the NEEDS REVIEW button, I kept wondering what that was.

NOTE WELL! There is a "slider" at the bottom of the "Your investment sales summary page." You may have to move that "slider" all the way right in order to "see" the [EDIT] box or the trash can icon. The TurboTax telephone contact person was not aware of this, and thus did not advise me to try it. The result was that I ended up starting from the beginning after 3.5 to 4 hours.

I am using Turbo Tax Mac Deluxe.

I have the same problem where I can see the first part of the needs... marker. It looks truncated and there is not edit button. I do not see any scroll bar anywhere on the page.

I had to change my scrollbar setting to "always" show scroll bars for them to become visible.

Agree hard ot find the edit button need to expand screen to view scroll bar...mine initially cut off to the right at Needs to Review in orange...once you get the scroll bar you can also access Review and a trash button.
