Do you earn commissions and/or charge fees for managing rental properties for owners?

Are you a real estate professional who materially participates in your rental property?

Is this rental property you own? Or are you "in the business" of managing rental property for others? I also wonder if you may be confusing active participation with material participation. There is a difference.
