How much student loan interest is allowed in California as a part year resident or how do you calculate the amount?

I lived in California for 6 months and I how now lived 6 months in Ohio. Turbo tax wants me how much interest to allocate to California.

Allocate by time, since you probably make monthly payments. So, 50% of your student interest is allocated to each state.
