My parents paid for my year of college but I paid for my textbooks. I am a dependent and they claim me as such. Who files the 1098T on their taxes. Is it them or me or both of us.

Since you are being claimed as a dependent then only the parents can claim the education expenses, Form 1098-T, on their tax return.

A. Them and only them.

If there is an amount in box 5 of your 1098-T and the amount in box 1 does not exceed box 5, by more than $4000, reply back for more info.
