If you are referring to a refund of tuition, you would only report that if you used your education expenses to qualify for an education credit in the current or previous year. If for the current year, subtract the refund from the education expenses reported in box 1 on your form 1098-T. You will see an option to adjust the box 1 amount below that entry in TurboTax.

If the refund applied to a previous year, you would have to amend the return for that year to adjust the education expense reported on the form 1098-T for that year.
