When entering Deductions under Federal Tax, under Education, when TurboTax asks on the third tab if I "Paid for Books and Materials" Tuition is listed as $0. And TurboTax states "entered earlier." I never entered this, nor was asked to. And I have searched and cannot find anywhere it asks me to enter my daughter's tuition. I need to get the correct amount entered.

Go through the entire education interview until you reach a screen titled "Your Education Expenses Summary". Click edit next to the student's name. That should take you to a screen “Here’s your Education Summary”. Click edit next to the section you want to change; tuition, in your case (click edit next to the school name).

Let's try this way to enter the tuition fees.

In TurboTax online,

Sign in to your account, select Pick up where you left off

At the right upper corner, in the search box, type in "1098t" and Enter

Select Jump to 1098t

On screen" Your Education Expenses Summary" select Edit

Next screen " Here’s your Education Summary" follow prompts to enter info.
