If your student loans are no longer in default you should receive your tax refund this year.

even so, because of the CARES act, there is no garnishment through Sept 30.

My taxes were onset last year and I started paying to the student loan rehab program. They said after my first 5 payments my taxes would no longer be onset. But how do I find out so I can file and get my taxes or if they even are seeing that I've paid my first 5 payments

To determine whether an offset will occur on a debt owed (other than federal tax), contact BFS's TOP call center at 800-304-3107 (866-297-0517 for TTY/TDD help).
