Turbo Tax Basic will not allow me to enter tuition expenses from my 1098-T. I can only enter books and material expenses. Why?

You will need to upgrade to Deluxe if you want to take those deductions.

Nope. Not able to enter the 1098-T with the Deluxe edition either

Please go through the "additional expenses" and the education interview. It will loop you back to the 1098-T input screen.

I'm not sure why this happens at times, but it does. It usually occurs if a 1099-Q is entered, but you will get to the 1098-T screen.
