      <description>&lt;P&gt;My husbands 1098T box 1 shows $1144.00 box 5 shows $1797.90.&lt;BR /&gt;Since box 1 is less than box 2 it looks like its showing up on TURbo Tax &amp;nbsp;as added income from scholarship/grant. why and how do we correct this?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We didn't get that money. the school was sent by his employer.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The only way it would not be reportable income would be if there were additional expenses.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Any amounts paid by the employer for your husband's college expenses are not deductible. Just keep Form 1098-T for your records.&lt;/P&gt;
