What do I do if I haven't had time to amend my tax return to include a 1098-T and my refund has already been deposited in my bank account?

If you have already received your refund, that's fine.

You can now amend your return to add that form 1098-T.

Please note that the amended form will not be ready before mid-February.

Do I need to keep the refund in my bank account until then?

Since you are amending to include a 1098T, you will not need to keep your refund in the bank. you are free to spend it anytime you wish.
