If your return has accepted, you'll need to file an amended return.

Please note that the amended form will not be ready before mid-February.

To amend your return, please follow the instructions in this TurboTax Help topic.

Your return will (most likely) not be held up or even delayed. It's not the kind of thing the IRS computers will catch.

You can (and should) wait until you get your refund before filing an amended tax return, if needed. Even though your input numbers may be different, there's a chance that the output on form 8863, will not change. Not all you payments are used in calculating the education credit. An amended return may not be needed.

@adw89 As @Hal_Al said, your refund will most likely not be held up, but nobody can guarantee it.

@MinhT1 Thank you, that is the exact reason I asked. For you guys advise and I know a quite few of you are experts. What do you think from your knowledge and experience?
