If the college has any employees in the United States, then it has to have an EIN. Either there are some important facts missing here, or there is something shady about the college.

Many people don't realize just what a college is. First and formost, a college is a business that is "in business" to make a profit. It is not possible for any college in the U.S. to not have an EIN unless it's some kind of illegal operation. However, are you attending a college in a foreign country maybe? If so, what country and what is the name of the college? Why do you need the EIN if it's in a foreign country?
