The irs took the payment I owed them out my bank account causing a overdraft. Could this be the reason. The 570 code is under the code for payment

Code 570 on your tax transcript means that the IRS has put on hold the processing of your return. This could be due to a number of reasons:

This IRS guide describes code 570 as Additional Liability Pending/or Credit Hold.

This code will be reversed by code 571 when the IRS resumes processing your return.

I owed $31 it was paid so I owe nothing

Thanks. But I can’t reach the IRS to discuss this issue. My transcript showed they took their $31 I owed and then under it I see a 570 code. That’s why I was asking if the bank account being overdrawn was what caused it. They still got their $31 I just got stuck with a overdraft payment. It came out 2 days before payday imagine that
