It was interest on a savings bond that I incorrectly entered in the 1099-INT section. From the main 'Your Income and Expenses' menu, I selected 'Edit/Add' on the 'Interest on 1099-INT' line, the used the delete button at the end of the line for the incorrectly entered bond. The line deleted here, but not from the main menu and is still showing the former/incorrect amount.

I tried signing out and signing back in. The 1040 preview...

You may have to close the program ad then sign back in ad...

You may have to close the program ad then sign back in ad open it again to get that to delete, but it may not have anything to do with your tax return. What you see on the Income Summary is just a way of showing you what topics you visited and where you've made entries, not what goes on your 1040 as taxable or nontaxable.

Look at your 1040 by clicking Tax Tools on the left, then Tools. Select View My Tax Summary then Preview My 1040 to see what's on 2a
