For more information, see the Instructions for Form 1045.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A rel="nofollow" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;/A&gt;Annual losses limited.&amp;nbsp;The TCJA, section 11012, amended section 461 to limit the amount of losses from the trades or businesses of noncorporate taxpayers that the taxpayer can claim each year. Taxpayers can’t deduct overall net business losses that are more than a threshold amount in the current year. The amount of the excess business loss is treated as an NOL carryover in the subsequent year. Use Form 461 to figure the excess business loss.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
