what are you trying to do? if you have entered your tax data you should be to the review or file tab. fi you are starting to prepare your 2020 return Turbotax first looks for the .tax2019 file which should be in the default folder. if you didn't use Turbotax in 2019 then it will look for a .pdf file for the 2019 return to import data.

aWhen I try to file I get a message that cannot find.... and then ///C:/users/Lenovo/OneDrive/Documents/TurboTax/........pdf.

Well, that file did not exist by that name. What they are looking for, I think, is form 8523-PE. So, I managed to change the name to the one they are looking for. However, I continue to get the same message. Is TurboTax trying to find that file on this computer that I am using? It would certainly seem so. I can give up and mail it in but I am overseas and it would unknown time just to get out of this country in this age of COVID. Anyone have a similar problem or can suggest a solution?

O.k., I see the (a?) problem. TTax is looking for a .pdf file. In fact, the form is .jpg. My printer/copier/scanner won't scan so I took a picture. I name the file .pdf but that just makes the end of the file name .pdf.jpg. I also have the type options of TurboTax 2018 Document or Turbotax 2019 document, but for some reason no option for TurboTax 2020. and of course I don't know what good using those types would do if TT is looking for .pdf. I can also select Microsoft Edge pdf type. Sigh.
