Here are the options since TurboTax does not handle money:

1. You paid for your return before filing or

2. Did you have the fees taken from your refund or get the Green Dot debit card?

If #1, the stimulus check will go to your bank account/ home address directly from the IRS - the same as your federal refund.

If #2, the stimulus check will go to SBTPG/Green Dot and then be routed to you. My understanding is an additional 1-2 days. Anybody that chose to pay their TurboTax fee out of their refund opted to have SBTPG as an intermediary. Go to this Santa Barbara Tax Products Group website for stimulus information.

If you need your card replaced, you may contact Green Dot at 888-285-4169.

You may check the status of your payment at IRS.gov/GetMyPayment.

MY tax refund went to your account not mine. the direct deposit was to you. did my 600 dollars get put in your account

No. If it came to a closed account it would have been returned to the IRS immediately.

When a deposit is returned to the IRS, there will be a reconciliation on your 2020 tax return. For those who did not receive their second stimulus check there is a Recovery Rebate Credit that will part of your tax return which will include it with the rest of your refund or reduce any amount owed, if applicable. The Recovery Rebate Credit will cover both the first and second stimulus payments. This will determine the full amount of potential refund you are entitled to based on income and eligible dependents, and will be part of the final combined refund on your return, if applicable

In TurboTax Online, to claim the Recovery Rebate credit please do the following:

Sign into your account and continue from where you left off
Click on Federal in the left-hand column, then on Federal Review on the top of the screen
On the next page titled Let's make sure you got the right stimulus amount, click on Continue
Follow the interview
TurboTax will determine whether you are entitled to any additional stimulus
Any stimulus amount remaining due to you will show as a credit on line 30 of your form 1040.
