I have a 1099 misc for non employee compensation. Whenever I enter it into Turbo Tax it generates of Schedule C.

It is not for business. It is paid for a basketball camp - help. I enter all the info for the Payer's TIN etc. But it still generates a schedule C for the individual as if a sole proprietor.

How do I bypass that & simply report it as other income?

Why did you get it? Is it for a refund of fees paid? Or Did you work at the camp? Then that is self employment income and goes on Schedule C.

We organize and run the camp.

How can it be self-employment? I don't have a business name, accounting manner etc. There are NO expenses, just simply this one payment.
