It depends on your circumstances whether you need to register for updates at all. The majority of people do not need to do anything more to receive their stimulus payment.

To register:

Go to this link: TurboTax Updates for Stimulus Payment Registration.

Registration will look like the screenshot below.

We are still waiting for IRS guidance regarding updating or providing direct deposit information for the stimulus payments and how they will be distributed to these type of accounts.

We will have more information once the government finalizes the details.

If you are not required to file a tax return, and have not actually filed one, use the IRS webpage:

https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/non-fi[product key removed]nt-info-here

If you have filed and need to submit or change your bank information, they are creating a different webpage that will be available later this month.
