To enter a Schedule K-1 using the online editions you will need to upgrade to either the Premier or Self-Employed edition

To enter a Schedule K-1

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Scroll down to Business Items (Business Investment and Estate/Trust Income using Home and Business)
On Schedule K-1, click on the start or update button

Or enter k-1 in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to k-1

What about for the pc application version - when I enter the info, TT says that form (Schedule K-1 for Estate & Trusts) needs to be updated and it shows each time I open TT - "to be ready soon" ?

yet, in checking with the IRS form, the gov says that form was updated in late January ....

at time of finalizing, can I bypass this error somehow

The Form 1041 Schedule K-1 section is working in TurboTax CD\Desktop. Make sure you program is up to date.

Click Online in the top left menu, then Check for Updates. If you are having issues, try disabling your antivirus software.

You can also manually update TurboTax.
