Thank you for that but I got my irs transcripts and I see that I got negatives symbol on some amounts so I’m confused. What does the negative symbol mean

Negative numbers are usually CREDITS, meaning if you owe tax and the next line you get the Earned Income Credit, the EIC amount will show as a negative. It will be subtracting from the tax you owe.

Why did you get a tax transcript? Did you ask for it or did the IRS contact you?

If the IRS contacted you, they would have sent you a letter, if they did, what did the letter say?
