      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:hsl(0, 0%, 0%);font-size:14px;"&gt;Both of those forms are used to calculate the qualified business income deduction (QBI). &amp;nbsp;It is a deduction that most self-employed taxpayers and business owners get.&amp;nbsp; It allows you to exclude up to 20% of their qualified business income from federal income tax whether they itemize or not.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:hsl(0, 0%, 0%);font-size:14px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:hsl(0, 0%, 0%);font-size:14px;"&gt;If you reported self-employment income, and TurboTax determined that you were eligible for QBI based on the information you entered, then it'd have calculated the deduction for you.&amp;nbsp; This is true even if you selected the Standard Deduction.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
