I called the customer support number, 1-800-446-8848 and asked to talk with a live person. The live person asked me to verify it was me, and then we were disconnected--which made me even more angry because I had trouble signing into my account in the first place only to be taken to a page wanting me to buy TurboTax again.

However, I closed the app that had opened (and had told me to sign in) and then reopened it and it took me to a verification page. I think I might have signed in again. I am pretty sure the customer service lady did something to give me access.
