    <description>&lt;P&gt;I've been using this version of TTax for over 10 years.&amp;nbsp; In all that time this is the first time the program refuses to complete the logon update process.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; There is a program bug somewhere that needs immediate resolution.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I'v completed all my Federal and State data entry and associated program checks, but can not go further as the program "Does not Respond" afterwards.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Windows 11 Pro OS&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size:14px;"&gt;The other option is to uninstall TurboTax and reinstall from the download exe file.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you for the reply.&amp;nbsp; However, I did not need to reinstall the software nor do a manual update.&amp;nbsp; As I suspected the problem resided outside of my control - an apparent program bug.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Seeing comments from other 2024 Turbo Tax customers who experienced the same problem, one recommendation was to simply wait a week for a typical program update.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;And that is what I did.&amp;nbsp; Today I opened Turbo Tax 2024 and it applied updates that completed without any errors.&amp;nbsp; I then loaded my saved tax file and was able to finish it, e-file my Federal taxes, and print out my state taxes for filing without any problem.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; - The IRS accepted the e-filed return today.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Whatever the problem was, it was resolved through today's program update.&amp;nbsp; I needed to do nothing but be patient....&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My TurboTax Premier 2024 (Windows desktop) won't updates. Updates fail with a 1603 error. I've tried updating right after a PC restart and with no other programs running.       <description>&lt;P&gt;I never saw an error code when my TT Premier failed to complete the initial update process.&amp;nbsp; I was also confident that it had nothing to do with my PC as it was only 2 months old and every other application on it ran perfectly.&amp;nbsp; So I waited for about 10 days and then opened TT.&amp;nbsp; It updated with no problem and I was able to complete my State &amp;amp; Federal taxes without any further issue.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Because you have an error code I would contact TT support for their help...&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your quick response. The TT update doesn't always fail with a 1603 error. Sometimes it give me another reason.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I had the same problem over a month ago. It was finally resolved by downloading and installing a manual update. Until today, subsequent updates worked ok. If there was a more update file to download for a manual update, I would give it a try.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Today (2/27) my TT updated without issue. This update was a program update released earlier today. Its predicted update duration was 1 minute vs. the predicted update duration of 5 minutes for the update that repeatedly failed on me over the past few days.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As usual, the actual update duration was considerably longer than projected but at least it worked. I assume that the previously released update had some sort of problem which caused it to fail.&amp;nbsp;For now, all appears to be ok with my TT.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So far this tax preparation cycle I've endured two different TT update issues, each of which lasted several days. In addition, I fell victim to a TT bug on my state tax return which would have caused me to underpay my state tax if not corrected.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It's not looking likely for me to buy TT for the next cycle.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My update from logon stalls at 2 mins remaining.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I do not have 10 days, or even a week to do my returns.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have used Turbotax for years, also, and now I am thinking I might look for something else next year. I never had problems before. What happened Intuit? You have had weeks to fix this issue.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you to all the users for your input. At least I know I am not alone.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
