Form 568 for TurboTax Business

I've read some other posting for California form 586 and the steps mentioned does not show in Turbo tax Business for 2023.

I am a sole proprietor LLC and using Turbo Tax Business, filing Form 1120 and do not see form 568 being generated. Can someone provide the steps to follow in Turbo Tax Business to attached California Form 586 along with my other California forms or what part of the interview would generate the form or what form to change to generate Form 586. 1st year filing taxes and new at this.

You may have to use Forms Mode.

Hi Tageam,

The link says it is available. I went to form/Open form. I clicked on Open Form and searched for 568 and no match was listed.

The question to trigger Form 568 appears during California interview under Business Summary.

As you go through the CA state return in the Income section, look for the Business Summary page.
Click Edit beside your business name.
Click Done on the Asset Summary page.
On the next page that asks if your business is owned by a Single Member LLC, click Yes.
Click Continue on the next page.

Then, the next several screens are there for you to fill in details for Form 568. The first screen should be the only one with missing information. Scroll down the page until you see fields that are highlighted which need your input (they are pink on Windows versions of the program). As you scroll through the page, take a look at line 7. It should be filled in with $800.

Click Continue to progress through the rest of these screens. Then check the Forms Mode version of Form 568 to see if it looks correct.

I went through the step by step process and I did not come across a Business Summary page. Is that the correct title? The only Business related information is at the beginning 'About Your Business'. I am using the Business version of TurboTax.

I tried to look for the form to add but was not able to find it. What am I seeing the steps

California Form 568 is not available in TurboTax Business for an LLC electing to be taxed as a C-Corporation.

Per California Limited Liability Company Tax Booklet, LLCs classified as Partnerships file Form 568. General corporation file Form 100, California Corporation Franchise or Income tax Return.
