Can state level estate taxes be deducted on a 1041?

My father passed away in late 2021, his estate was below the federal threshold of 12 million, but above the Massachusetts state threshold of 1 million.

His Estate included a residential rental property that required a 1041.

Is the estate tax paid to the state of Massachusetts deductible on the 1041?

Thanks, the wording of it when I read it at first was a little confusing. I didn't know if it was classified as a state tax or if "estate" included federal and state.
