No, not as an itemized deduction. Unfortunately, vehicle inspection fees are specifically mentioned by the IRS as being non-deductible.

Hi, Can you please point me to where the IRS states that inspections are not deductible on your schedule C if you are a ride share driver?

@singardia You are posting to a very old thread that has had no activity since 2019. The original poster in this thread was asking about using a vehicle inspection fee as an itemized deduction on Schedule A. That is not your issue. You state that you are a rideshare driver and want to enter a business expense (inspection fee) on a Schedule C.
