topic My income for the year 2016 was all in the form of cash; no W-2 or 1099. Will my refund still be delayed because I am getting the EIC? in Deductions & credits

I have read that the delay is to give the IRS time to match information on my return to the information on my W-2 and/or my 1099, but I have neither. Will my refund still be delayed?

I'm afraid so. Federal law requires the IRS to delay all...

I'm afraid so. Federal law requires the IRS to delay all refunds with EITC until February 15, regardless of the source of your income. One of the main reasons for the delay is to give the IRS time to check for fraudulent returns filed by criminals using your Social Security number. The fact that your business is all cash doesn't preclude a criminal from filing a false return in your name.
