&lt;P&gt;You can deduct alimony paid to or for a spouse or former spouse under a divorce or separation decree, regardless of whether you itemize deductions. To Enter those deductions please follow the steps below:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;OL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Log into your TurboTax Account and select your 2016 Tax Return from the TImeline&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Once you have entered the return please find and click on the &lt;STRONG&gt;Federal Taxes &lt;/STRONG&gt;tab&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;A secondary tab will appear just below the main one. In this secondary tab please find and click on &lt;STRONG&gt;Deductions and Credits.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Scroll down to find &lt;STRONG&gt;Other Deductions and Credit &lt;/STRONG&gt;once at this section click on &lt;STRONG&gt;Show More&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;From the drop-down list you will find the option to enter &lt;STRONG&gt;Alimony Paid&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/LI&gt;
