      <description>&lt;P&gt;The side of the form only lists the basic standard deduction amounts.&amp;nbsp; However, there are additional amounts that are added to the standard deduction for taxpayers that are either blind and/or over 65.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You can see the calculation on page 25-26 of IRS Publication 501 if you wish (link below).&amp;nbsp; $13,950 would be the standard deduction for married filing jointly when one taxpayer was either blind or over 65.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;
