      <description>&lt;P&gt;Some lenders print the property tax info in an open area of the 1098, not in a box.&amp;nbsp; Double-check your 1098.&amp;nbsp; If there's nothing there, contact your lender.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you just bought the home recently, it's possible that no property tax payments have yet been made,&amp;nbsp; Property taxes are deductible when the tax is actually paid, not when the funds go into escrow.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
