Can't clear a flag/notification "Foreign source amount must be entered", even though I entered it and there is an amount in line 1099-DIV line 6d. How to clear this flag?

If there is an entry in 1099-DIV box 6, TurboTax will immediately and incorrectly require an entry in box 6d and will mark it as an error until an amount is entered. Box 6d is “the foreign source amount included in dividends.”

If Form 1116 is filled out, there is a screen to input that amount which TurboTax will insert into box 6d and clear the error.

If Form 1116 is not filled out because the user elects to use the exemption or the deduction, then bring up the 1099-DIV worksheet and type a zero into box 6d to remove the error.

My Form 1116 is filled out. Where is this screen to input "that amount which Turbotax will insert into box 6d"? As I stated, I entered the amount when asked by Turbotax in the Foreign Income and taxes section, and I see that amount is indeed properly entered in line 6d of my 1099-DIV.

I would like to do this to resolve this admitted error in TurboTax: "If Form 1116 is not filled out because the user elects to use the exemption or the deduction, then bring up the 1099-DIV worksheet and type a zero into box 6d to remove the error." But there IS NO BOX 6d in the respective 1099-DIV TT worksheet! Nor is there a "box 6" on the original 1099-DIV. There is a "box 7" with the amount of "foreign tax paid" on the org 1099-DIV, but no "box 6".

This "little" TT error has stopped me in my tax tracks. And this Turbo Tax written "help system" is not at all helpful.

In order to access to box 6 of the Form 1099-DIV, you would need to check the box "My form has info in other boxes (this is uncommon)" on the screen. It will then expand and allow you enter the info. See image below:
