      <description>&lt;P&gt;Enter each 1098 form as it is reported. You can leave the Box 2 (outstanding mortgage principle) blank if your outstanding mortgage principal balance is under $1 million. If it's over that amount, there are limitations to the deduction.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also, if the new loan was taken out after 1/1/2017, then you can leave it blank.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
