Issue with Form 5695 line 29h calculation....always remains zero.

I have the downloaded version of TurboTax 2025 - Deluxe. The calculation of line 29h should be 30% of line 29g. Yet 29h always remains zero. I override the line 29h value to be 30% of line 29g. Shouldn't this be fixed in a future update? I downloaded the software on 2/25. Installed on 2/26 and updated on 2/27. This issue persists.

I would like to take a closer look at the situation you described. Please consider sharing a diagnostic copy of your tax file so we can take a closer look and see if there is something else causing the result you are getting or if it needs to be submitted to the development team for further investigation and correction. Select Online at the top of the screen.

Go to the Menu at the top of the screen and select Help.
Then, Send Tax File to Agent.

Token 592513385-67789107 contains the data for this form 5695 issue. Please note the non-zero value($791) in line 29h is an override value. Without the override the value in 29h would be zero.

I'm having the same problem. Value populated in 29g, 29h shows $0. This is not giving me the warm fuzzies about "100% correct calculations" at all.

I updated TT this morning and this value is now calculating correctly for me, give it a try.

A related but somewhat different issue is this value in not appearing in the summary, but it is factored into the overall calculations....I believe..

Is the summary working properly for you now? Have you been able to verify that the forms are all now correct and everything is working?

Yes, I updated to the current Turbo Tax Deluxe this morning, cancelled my non-zero override for the 29h calculation and the 30% calculation is now correctly working. Well done TT!

Form 5695 is calculating correctly for me (thanks for that!) but the summary still shows 0 for "Home Energy Credit" which is not correct..

By summary I'm looking at "Here are your 2024 and 2025 deductions and credits"..

Looking at the numbers on the summary more carefully, the "Total Credits" line at the bottom correctly includes the value from form 5695, even though the line item for Home Energy Credit shows 0.

Hope that makes sense..
