Form 8911 Availability 2025 TY

Using Deluxe desktop version on my Mac. Form 8911-A is filled out for my EV charging station, but there is no Form 8911. So the credit showing on 8911-A doesn't have a Form 8911 to transfer the credit into, and hence no credit showing on the 1040. I know the form was delayed, but it is supposed to be available now. Is that a Mac vs Windows thing or some other problem?

Form 8911 is unsupported for Efile as of today for both Windows and Mac. This is most likely due to IRS changes not yet being implemented, due to the effect of the OBBB, which includes accelerating the expiration previously in place from the Inflation Reduction Act.

It is supported in TurboTax Online, if you wish to switch.

Ouch!

The form availability check shows the same status for Mac, Windows, and Online: Form 8911-A is unsupported for e filing but 8911 is ready, at least according to the status link.

However, TurboTax doesn't even fill out an 8911, just the 8911-A. It would be nice if there was a warning in the software as I almost filed the return with no EV charging station credit.
