donations disappear

I keep entering my donations, a can get cash donations to stay, but when i enter gift donations, the previous ones disappear. I have the newest edition of premiere, just downloaded it 1/25/2025

That happened for me when I entered some items...then deleted a different charity I didn't use this year.

That's a bug that's been reproted and is being worked on.

...what might work, and sees to work, if you don't want to wait for the software update:

1) open the charities section

2) First, delete any charity you didn't make any donations to during 2025.

3) Exit the charity area

4 )Reenter the charity area, and make a couple "item" donations.

5) Exit the charity area and come back in again to make sure the "items" stay in there

6) If #5 is OK, continue to edit in the rest of your item donations.

If you made any stock donations...the form 8283 is required in your tax return, and that won't be ready in the software until...eehhh...they say the 28th of January...but might get delayed another full week to ~ 6 Feb.

thanks, but it does not work, each time I enter a donation of gifts the previous entry will disappear. Have tried deleting it all and update but this appears to be intuits software glitch, my only hope is turbotax fixes this. seems pretty simple.

Yeah, I haven't tested all situations where items would disappear.

BUT

The problem was confirmed by TTX moderators, & TTX staff have been notified and should be working on a fix.

Later this week...or one of the next two.....no way to know how much recoding they have to do.

IF using desktop, run an update today and see if it's still a problem.

My desktop software Update this morning (29 January) appears to have fixed one of the problems with items being deleted...not sure it will fix yours or not.

I'm having a similar problem. The worksheet called "Other Item Donations worksheet" is missing form the Charitable Contributions Worksheet. It has been there for the last 20 years.

I just rec'ed an update but still not there.

Is this bring worked on?
