topic How do I know what to put as paid out of pocket medical bills if I did not have a list made that year? in Deductions & credits

Ohio has tax breaks for out of pocket expenses (co-pays, prescriptions, hospital bills, etc.) but I did not list these as the year went on. I think.I qualify because insurance for this company was terrible and there were a lot of extra bills.

The only way to know what to enter for medical expenses is to check your own records of what you paid. If you didn't keep track of your payments during the year, maybe you can gather the information from your credit card bills or checking account statements. Whatever method you use, keep the records so that you have proof of the expenses in case you get audited.
