I sold an inherited second home. I made improvements on the home by having it painted and installed a new roof. Where EXACTLY do I enter those expenses in TurboTax?

Add that expense to the basis (the cost) when you report the sale.

Your basis will be the Fair Market Value on the date of the original owner's passing and the cost of the roof.
