No. The Child Tax Credit will not cause your tax refund to be held by the IRS until mid-February. Only EIC and/or the ACTC will cause the tax refund to be held by the IRS.

However, the IRS will not start accepting returns until Jan 29. After that, most refunds are issued within 21 days.
