I am legally blind, but cannot add it to my standard deduction.

Click your name in MY INFO ----when you go through those screens you are asked if you were legally blind. If you answer YES then an extra amount is added to your standard deduction which appears on line 12 of your Form 1040.

In the My Info section of the program when you are entering your personal information there is a screen labeled Let's check for some other situations. Check the box I was considered legally blind as of December 31, 2024.
