If you cannot delete Form 2441 Child and Dependent Care Expenses.

You can clear the form by deleting the data from the software.

Select Tax Tools
1. You may have to minimize the
2. Federal and State sections with a down arrow
On the drop-down select Tools
There will be 3 green boxes
Select Topics Search
Type the form number or a topic.
1. Child and Dependent Care Expenses.
Answer yes to Did you pay for child and dependent care in 2024?
Continue through the questions and clear any entries.

It seems like this problem popped up last year and has not yet been addressed by the developer team.

The problem we all have is that, on the web TurboTax system, even after we delete Form 2441 in the "Tax Tools" bar, the software does not recognize it is deleted, and asks us to fill Form 2441 again at the checkout.

I have to ask: do you have an entry in Box 10 on your W-2? If so, you cannot delete the 2441. They may be other items, like entries in the Child and Dependent Care Credit section that nee to be removed.

Are you using the CD/download version of the product. If so, please look at the 2441 and tell us what numbers are on the forms in what lines, so that we can figure this out.

Did you find a resolution? I have the same issue. This is incredibly frustrating and have spent hours on trying to resolve this from every suggestion made in many different comment chains. It has to be glitch in their system but I've no way to fix it. I am overseas so can't mail my taxes, and it won't let me delete and start over as I've already paid. Hoping you found a way to solve this?

You need to delete Form 2441 and any worksheet related to the Child and Dependent Care Credit. If you don't delete the related worksheets the Form 2441 will come back.

If you are using:

TurboTax Online: see How do I view and delete forms in TurboTax Online?
TurboTax Desktop:
1. On the top right, there is a FORMS button.
2. Click on FORMS.
3. Locate the form you want to delete.
4. Click on the form name.
5. Below the form, bottom left, select DELETE FORM button.
