Go to the Deductions and Credits page, then click Done with Deductions at the bottom of the page. You may see some follow-up questions to answer, but keep moving forward and the program will tell you whether the Standard Deduction or Itemized Deductions is better for your situation. You can change the deduction type on this page by checking the box 'change my deduction' and answering a question to verify your choice.
