      <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes, as long as you are either an independent contractor or self-employed, if you provide services as multiple locations you would be able to claim the travel costs to those locations as a business related travel expense.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;A temporary workplace is any place that you perform services on a short term basis or not on a regular basis. &amp;nbsp;In other words, it is not your office or your primary work location. &amp;nbsp;If you have a route that you run, like say delivering batteries to 50 different businesses in an area, then those would all eligible to claim for travel expenses.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you are a W-2 employee, you would not be able to claim these expenses as business expenses as employee job related expenses are no longer deductible on your federal return. &amp;nbsp;However, some states do still allow employee business expenses. &amp;nbsp;If you walk through your state return, if your state does allow these expenses, TurboTax will give you the option to enter them.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
