Have you entered any earned income from work on your tax return? Were the dependents you entered under the age of 17 in 2023?

Is there an amount entered on your Form 1040 Line 28 for the Additional Child Tax Credit?

You can view your Form 1040 plus Schedules 1, 2 and 3 at any time using the online editions. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.

Yes it already verified that I’m eligible for the $2,000 it’s just not showing as a part of my tax return before I submit

The $2,000 per child for the child tax credit (CTC) can be refundable or reduce your tax depending on your situation. In 2023, the tax credit will be refundable only up to $1,600, depending on your income. You must have earned income of at least $2,500 to be eligible for the refund. You will see an entry on Form 1040, line 19, and/or line 28, if you have a refundable portion.
