The charitable donation is reported on a Schedule A as an itemized deduction for tax year 2023.

Federal tax credits for tax year 2023 remain basically the same as for tax year 2022.

No. Charitable donations are an itemized deduction, which have no effect on your tax due or refund unless you have enough itemized deductions to exceed your standard deduction.

As for "new" tax breaks, perhaps you can use an energy credit or an EV credit.
