Foreign pension tax credit

I have a number of foreign pensions, which I will have to report on my US Tax return but as per Court order, I will have to split these foreign pensions with my ex-wife.

Can I claim these payments under 'Alimony' as a tax credit?

Thank you for sharing.

It looks like I should fit all the criteria.

Payments for foreign pensions should fit under 'Separate maintenance', not under Alimony (thankfully, I am done with that!).

I made a test in TurboTax, and it was easy and gave me no errors.

If anyone has any additional advice or prior experience on this, I would greatly appreciate it.
