hey everyone, im trying to file my taxes but whenever i load up a 1095-A form, its saying i owe $1400? im not so sure how this is possible. I had been buying my own health insurance for a few months and got a new job in October and cancelled it since my employer provided me new benefits. Any idea as to how I can fix my tax return to not pay this outrageous fee? My return was only going to give me around $150 anyway please help! I cant afford to pay that debt and I dont even know why its there

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do about the amount due. The 1095-A is used to complete your Premium Tax Credit Form 8962 and reconcile your Premium Tax Credit. It appears that you may have taken more premium tax credit in advance than you were qualified for based on your income. If you do not input your 1095-A, it may cause your tax return to get rejected and may affect your future advance credit payments.

Please see the Questions Related to Form 1095-A on the IRS link, Health Insurance Marketplace Statement.

If you are unable to pay your balance due to the IRS, please review the TurboTax article Unable to Pay Your Tax Bill?
